Vrnik Arts Club
Description
Vrnik Arts Club is an exclusive cultural and hospitality concept set within the authentically restored building of an old school dating back to 1910, located on the islet of Vrnik near Korčula. From a management perspective, the project successfully harmonizes a fine-dining restaurant and luxury accommodation, creating a premium destination tailored for yachtsmen and high-net-worth guests seeking privacy and cultural substance.
The rich history of the island is deeply woven into the club’s very identity. Vrnik stands as the oldest quarry in the Korčula region, active since antiquity, from whose depths the signature radiant white stone was extracted. This premium material was masterfully shaped by generations of local stonemasons, going on to build iconic palaces in Dubrovnik, Venice, and Vienna, as well as elements of the legendary Hagia Sophia in Istanbul.
Today, replacing the arduous labor of the quarry, the former school undergoes a modern renaissance through Vrnik Arts Club, offering world-class art and Mediterranean gastronomy in the heart of a historical archipelago.
